bizarre bazaar for fashion+art+ideas

press

Madelyn Hadel of Rebellelion is a veteran of DFW whose work is bold and free. Take Hadel’s boldness and pair it with Ladies Fancywork Society’s funky crochet, meets street art and you have a match made in heaven.
Designer Madelyn Hadel is best known for patchwork denim jackets she upcycles from thrifted or donated clothing — although she recently expanded to a full line of clothing — the result of which is casual cool, edgy, retro-inspired garments that are part of her brand called Rebellelion.
In a time when femme-centric streetwear is hard to find, enters Hadel with her upcycled version of casual cool with an edge.
Uniquely, this clothing line is a bazaar for fashion — artistic experimentation fueled by the spirit of doing it yourself. Hadel wanted to ensure her line was focused on eco-friendly and ethically sourced fashion.
My favorite thing is seeing people who buy my denim pieces and incorporate their own flair, like adding pins and sewing on new patches. I love the idea of lifestyle pieces and having something, like a denim jacket, that you can evolve over a lifetime.
